43 the skirt to Mothers dress by two oclock then worked from that till five baking cake and cleaning up the house. Mother and Blanche went to town in the afternoon. I went over at five oclock and got back just as supper was ready I changed Mothers napkin rings and got one for Ott and Lee. Now we all have one I helped do up the work. In the evening we played cards. Mr Hersey and I beat at both whist and euchere. We spent a lovely pleasant evening did not go to bed till 12 oclock. I had a letter from Will Reed. Sunday April 16th 1876. It was not a very pleasant day I staid right at home all day wrote a letter to Will and read some After supper Hattie Blanche and I went to town on the hill to look at the river, and from there on down to Robinsons. I learned down there that Lizzie was living in Des Moines. I came home intending to write to her But when I had practiced a little I felt like going to bed.
