46 the spare time I had during the day I finished Mothers over-skirt and Lee's shirts. After supper Hatt and I went over to town and did not get home till night I cut a few carpet rags in the evening and then went to bed. I was very tired. We had a letter from Charlie this evening Blanche and Dick went home today And Mr Neill went to town to room. Father began hauling the lumber last night for the new kitchen he has got considerable over. Sunday April 23rd 1876 It was a gloomy day. I put in most of the forenoon writing to a friend in town We did not get but two meals today, taking a lunch at night. Went to bed early. Monday April 24th 1876. It was more pleasant today We got an early start at the washing getting it all done before noon. We ironed in the afternoon And Mother hearing Grand-pa was sick went to the valley to stay
