Saving...
51 Thursday May 4th 1876. I put in the whole forenoon cleaning out the old flour chest. Mr Lamb took dinner here. It was raining some in the afternoon but the boys worked away putting a new sill under the store room. The boys came down stairs to play whist As usual we had a lively game. But Bently and Hatt beat Hersey and I. Friday May 5th 1876. We washed this forenoon. In the afternoon I did not do much of any thing. Hattie was white washing the store room and it hurt her hands so she could not do any thing at all I sewed all the evening. Hatt and Lee went to McGoverns, to spend the evening. Saturday May 6th 1876. It rained all day the boys could not come over to finish up the work. We ironed and took our time to doing the house-work. We played whist all the evening, and had a noisy time at lunch after the game.
