57 work and wrote a short letter to Lou and one to Al. We girls went to church with Mr Bently and Mr Hersey in the evening. Monday May 22nd 1876. I went to town this morning I got quite a good many things I saw Rob over there and we went into the furniture store and selected a parlor set, After I came home we ate lunch and started down to the funeral about eleven oclock. It was five oclock when we got home and I was nearly sick with head-ache. I went to bed early. Tuesday May 23rd 1876. We cleaned both rooms up stairs this morning and about ten oclock began washing It was four oclock when we got through for we washed four quilts. I worked some in the yard after supper I was so tired at night I hardly knew what to do, I went to bed early.
