89. Tuesday August 1st 1876. We did an awful big days work. Washed and ironed both. Mother and Lee went to Uncle Jims this afternoon and did not come home till night. Lou and I went down town after supper and invited some company for Thursday night. Win was over a little while. Two years ago today I went to Delavan from Burlington. Wednesday August 2nd 1876. As soon as we got the work done up all three of we girls dressed to go up to Auntys to spend the day. We had a jolly time We went on the train. I did not feel like doing any-thing at all tonight. Thursday August 3rd 1876. Lou and I went to town early this morning We went to McCalls to invite them over tonight as Charlie is coming down from Des Moines. We baked cake before dinner and sewed in the afternoon. Between four and five oclock Mother and I took lunch to the field for
