Saving...
116 Sunday October 22nd 1876. It was a rainy disagreeable day. I did nothing all day but help with the work. Mr Whetstone was over in the evening and while Hatt talked to him I came in our room and wrote a couple of letters. Monday October 23rd 1876. We washed this forenoon and did some baking after dinner. Winnie and Laura were here and when they went home I went over to town. I brought home a dozen new knives and forks. We expected Uncle and Sam but they did not come. A very pleasant day. Tuesday October 24th 1876 I ironed this forenoon and let Hatt sew Went to town again in the afternoon I saw Uncle over there. Him and Sam stayed here all night. We had a pleasant evening We young folks played cards and the rest of the folks visited. We did not go to bed very early and they expect to go away on the early morning train.
