129 Thursday November 30th 1876 "Thanksgiving day" We had no company Mother and Hatt did the work and I sewed I cut and partly made a dressing gown for Rob. We young folks went to the Firemans Ball at night. Had a splendid time. How I do enjoy a good ball. Weather clear and cold. Friday December 1st 1876. This is Otto's birthday. I finished Robs dressing gown And Lo it was too large for him. It just fit Mr Cattrell and he took it. I went to town in the afternoon and got stuff for Rob another one I had a great time looking for it and finally did not get what I wanted. It was miserable cold I was nearly frozen when I got home. I knit all the evening. Saturday December 2nd 1876. I worked all day on Robs gown and finished it up at eight oclock. It is beautiful. I played cards awhile in the evening and knit some Otto got home from the valley today where he had been spending a couple of days.
