Saving...
195. Thursday June 7th 1877. We put in the day regulating up the house and getting ready for our company. Father went to the train this morning for Miss Cattrell. She came. Last night she missed the train at West Liberty and had to stay there all night. We are all in love with her. Our party tonight was a grand success. All appeared to enjoy them selves. Friday June 8th 1877. It was a rainy disagreeable day and we all felt worthless enough. Did nothing but get the house in order and do the cooking. It stopped raining toward evening and we young folks all went to society. Saturday June 9th 1877 A chilly mean day. Aunt Mellissa went home today. Mother went to town as did the girls in the afternoon. In the evening We young folks went to Ladies Society. The exercises were splendid.
