Saving...
226. Tuesday August 28th 1877. We had two terrible rain storms today The boys went out to make fence this afternoon and got drenching wet. We girls sewed on our dresses but did not make very good progress. I had a letter from Pete. Wednesday August 29th 1877. The weather was some pleasanter today I finished my dress and made a dozen new towels. It seems to me I never knew so many people to come in one day. The workmen were all here. Jim Weldie and wife took dinner here, and Mr Chapman and Miss Mygatt spent the evening here. The boys finished their fence today. It was late when we got to bed and all hands were thoroughly tired out. Thursday August 30th 1877. I helped do the work this forenoon and Hatt finished her dress. Rob got our new rag carpet home and we made it in the afternoon. It was a hot and tiresome task. Mother was to town in the afternoon. I wrote a postal to Lizzie.
