Friday March 3 1933 I wrote letters to Hattie & Winnie enclosing letters from others The Bakers from New Albany here for a call early in PM. Later we went down town. letter from Laura. In the evening went with the Falks to Greens where they played cards. Saturday March 4- 1933 We listened to The Inaugural of Pres Roosevelt part of the A M. Went to a picture show in the afternoon "The bitter tea of General Yen" It was late when we got home The Greens here in the evening. I wrote Le [illegible]. Dr. [illegible] Laura and card to Miss Hoffman Sunday March 5- 1933 Went to the M E Church slept awhile in afternoon The Selters and others here to call. Went down town before dark letters from Birdie and my address book. Monday March 6- 1933 Listened to news report All banks closed for several days.. I wrote Ott Seibert [illegible] [illegible]. The Kaehlers at Louisville We were down town in PM. called on Mrs. Emerson & Mrs Merriman In evening to Bonds where they played cards. Mayor Cermak of Chicago dead. Tuesday March 7- 1933 A hard rain early in A M. I wrote Tishie Hedges Emma Herriott & Caroline Peckham cards to Les Simpson & Grace Taylor. We went down early in PM to see The Three Barrymores in "Rasputin and The Empress" Letters from Ott, Hettie and Jesse Onstal Henderson. Evening at home.
