Sunday September 9 - 1934 I was ready when Ott came to take me over there at eleven oclock. The Whetstones came later we had such a pleasant day together. Rob brought me home. The Gays away when I got here but came a little later. I read some. Went to bed early. fine day. Monday September 10 - 1934 I wrote Art Robinson and wife in forenoon. It rained part of the day. I read some and slept in afternoon. Mrs Gay busy with her work. No mail today. Ott brought 35.00 from Will Murphy. Tuesday September 11 - 1934 Mrs Gay had help to wash today. She took me to Flora Stevens for a pattern I wanted. Then up to Whetstones. Rob was leaving for Louisville Fair with George Falk. Hattie and I spent the afternoon looking over the Falcon things. Cora brought me home late. Wednesday September 12 - 1934 Looked over things in garret before I began my chair back in crochet work. Mrs Gay working with fruit most of the day. Mr & Mrs Owen here for supper and the evening. Weather warmer. Thursday September 13 - 1934 I was in the garret again putting things away. Worked on crochet. Minnie Showers here till noon Mrs Gay had company for dinner. Ott took me to the old settlers picnic we had (illegible) Mrs Leonard with us. I stopped to see Mrs Webb after that, and paid phone bill. Ott had letters from LeGrand. I had card from Winnie. Wrote her in evening.
