Tuesday October 9-1934 I was sewing in afternoon Mrs Gay was here in the afternoon we went up town for some things needed for our work. The evening paper told that George Falrem was murdered the before was found dead (chrtmas?) morning by a colored man to get what little money were in the house. The man is under arrest I was terribly up set but went to the picture show with Hattie in evening Wednesday October 101934 I went down to Mollies with Hattie & Gena and Rob came down for dinner a very pleasant day I had letter from Ida. I got papers ready to send to her as well as Winnie Lornas Aunt Robinson. Mr Gay home tonight. Thursday October 11-1934 a pleasant day. Mrs Gay come early (from?) the shop and did some washing. I rode to Oxford with Rob in affternoon. I sewed some and crostiched on Hatties table cover. Friday October 12-1934 I did mt sewing wrote cards to Winnie had letters from her Lonas n Ida. I was sewing most of the day I crostiched and read in the evening weather fine. Saturday October 13-1934 I was busy here all day. Hattie here in afternoon Mrs Gay at the store all day. early home to the meale. I expected Mullis in the afternoon but she did not come. I worked on Hatties table cover
