Friday September 18- 1931 I did not do much of anything in AM. At noon The Whetstones took me over to Byingtons Will Bremner there. A nice dinner and visit I stopped at Dr Smiths office. Did errands and home by Bus. Evening down stairs. Weather cooler Saturday September 19- 1931 I made jelly and was busy with the work all AM Ott here for dinner. I talked with him about going West I had letter from Winnie who tells she broke her ankle when stepping of a street car Monday. Very warm again. Evening on the porch. Wrote LeGrand. Sunday September 20- 1931 Ott took me to Church. Had dinner here and slept in PM. Read in evening. Wrote Winnie. Monday September 21st 1931 A fine rain last night and turned cooler. Wrote Nellie Boswell & Emma Herriott in AM. Went up town in PM. Was at Dr Smith office & got me a new hat. A hard rain about supper time. I read in the evening. Tuesday September 22- 1931 A pleasant day. Hattie here for dinner. I did a little sewing. I had a letter from Ott Seibert I wrote to her Lois Simpson Maurice Culbertson Carrie Wilson, Laura & Edith about my leaving for California next Monday
