Wednesday September 4th 1929 I wrote Birdie & Lydia in A.M. after going over the rooms. Went home with Ott for dinner. We got Hattie and went to The Old Settlers picnic. It raind some. Home with Ott. Thursday September 5th 1929 Came over early with Ott. Did some errands. Wrote to Harry Mason and sent birthday card to Agnes King. Worked at Hatties rug in P.M. We went to the cemetery before supper. Spent the evening reading at Otts. Friday September 6th 1929 I came over with Ott and did some washing. Wrote Winnie. Hattie came and we went home with Ott for lunch. She came to stay the P.M. with me. I went with Ott to the cemetery. Read in evening. Finished the last rug of Hatties. Later letter from Winnie. Saturday September 7th 1929 I came over with Ott. Ordered groceries. Did ironing. Cleaned the house and made jelly before noon. Later wrote letter to LeGrand and cards to Lou Simpson & Mattie Fletcher. Went to picture show with The Whetstones. Mary & Biddy came today. William met them at Cedar Rapids. They all came for me to go to Hatties in the evening. Letter from Mrs. E. B. Moore. Sunday September 8th 1929 Hatties wedding day. Ott came for me to to to S S & Church. I got my dinner and the Byingtons came to go to Cedar Rapids. We drove through the cemetery to look at monuments. Had picnic supper in Bear Park. I went to church in the evening with the Hedges. Mr Rhind preached at Christian Church. The Gays went on a trip. I wrote M. E. Culbertson, Nettie Moore & Ida. Rain tonight.
