Tuesday March 18th 1930 It rained all forenoon. I talked to Mattie and wrote Hattie & Laura. I had a good sleep in PM. Evening here. Wednesday March 19th 1930 I was home all day. Slept while Mattie was away in the PM. Went to prayer meeting in evening. Letters from Hattie & Winnie. Thursday March 20th 1930 A fine day. I wrote Maurice Reed, Winnie and Major Briggs in the forenoon. I had letters from Mrs Falk, Ida and Hattie. She told that Jack Sterritt fell on Tuesday where he was at work and was instantly killed. I wrote to Her and Ida. We went down town later. I was home alone in evening. Mattie away a little while. Friday March 21st 1930 I wrote Major Briggs and Ella Nagle in forenoon. I slept awhile after dinner. We were at the church in the evening. I read some and crotcheted on lace. Saturday March 22nd 1930 I wrote Mrs Falk. Very cold this morning. Crtocheted some. We went down ton in PM. Called on Josephine Esker. I bought Mattie a bag. In the evening Bess Stitt and Mrs Winnslet spent evening with us. Sunday March 23rd 1930 Mattie and I went to church and soon after dinner John took us for a long ride. Called at the home of their relatives at Frankfort. It was six oclock when we reached home.
