Thursday November 27th 1930 William came for me at eleven oclock. The Whetstones later. We had a pleasant day together. Such a good dinner. William & Mary brought me home about 8 oclock. Spent the evening with Mrs Gortners Mother. Friday November 28th 1930 I went up town to get my hat and change galoshes. Hattie & Birdie here for dinner. Rob took Birdie to West Liberty for PM train. Cora here awhile after they left. I took books back to Mrs Webb and The Library. I spent part of the evening with the Gays. Saturday November 29th 1930 An awful stormy day. I did the work in AM in the afternoon wrote Mrs Doyle, Mary Holson, Laura, Maurice Reed. Letters from Laura and Winnie. Sunday November 30th 1930 I got up in plenty of time to get ready to go to Chicago. William took me to the station. A comfortable trip went out to Winnies by taxi. The Givens here in the evening. Monday December 1st 1930 It was so cold we did not go away. I wrote Hattie and read some. Bro Ott 76 years old today. Tuesday December 2nd 1930 We went down town after early lunch. We were in several stores. I got a few things. We came home about four oclock. Evening here. The weather very much pleasanter.
