Friday July 8th 1927 Frank Woolf came for the girls at seven oclock to take them to Pekin. Edith busy with the work. I threaded beads and slept. Later wrote Joe Williams. Saturday July 9th 1927 I began a bead bag. I wrote Hattie & Winnie. Slept some. Edith busy with the work and up town late in afternoon. A telegram tells the girls safely there. Sunday July 10th 1927 Edith went to church. I did not feel like going. A letter from Winnie and one from the girls. Lizzie Duncan here for a call late in afternoon. Monday July 11th 1927 I knit some, read the papers, and slept in afternoon. Edith busy with her work. Letters from Warner & Hattie. Tuesday July 12th 1927 I felt very worthless in forenoon but wrote to Hattie & Winnie. Edith did washing. I knit on bag in PM. Some neighbors here in evening. Wednesday July 13th 1927 I knit on bag. Edith ironed. I slept in PM. Edith went up town for mail after supper. A letter from the girls. It is very warm. We spent evening on the porch. Thursday July 14th 1927 Edith worked all day putting up green beans. I wrote the girls in the forenoon, knit on bag, and slept in afternoon. weather very warm. To bed early. Wrote L D L. Edith for mail after supper.
