Friday January 6th 1928 I worked nearly all day at cleaning. Put up curtains and washed woodwork and cleaned the rug. I had a letter from Lydia and Warner McCall. Was at Dr Smiths office in late PM for my feet. Wrote to Lydia. Saturday January 7th 1928 I did some washing and cleaned cup-boards in the forenoon. Fannie called at noon and asked me to go to Cedar Rapids with them. A nice day. I got my supper and did some work in the evening. Letter from Edith Whetstone. Sunday January 8th 1928 Ott took me to church and Cora was there to take Hattie & me up to their home. After dinner Rob took us over to Otts. They brought us home about four oclock. Mrs Doyle and I to M E Church in evening. Monday January 9th 1928 I cleaned my big closet in AM. Washed out some things. Went up town in PM and was fixing cushions in the evening. Letter from Alma Wenig. Tuesday January 10th 1928 I worked all forenoon at the cleaning. Wrote Ida and rested in afternoon. The Whetstones stopped for me on the way to the depot. Hattie & Fannie left for Phoenix Arizona and Ott for Springfield Ohio. Wrote L D L after I got home. Wednesday January 11th 1928 Did some sewing in AM. Mary came for me. I went home with her for lunch. Took care of Buddy while she went to a party. Stayed all night. Read "Heres Ireland."
