Tuesday October 16th 1928 I did some mending and slept awhile in afternoon. I took Mrs Gay to The Presbyterian church supper. There was a big crowd and good supper. William brought us home. Later Mrs Gay took me to Christian S S entertainment. Wednesday October 17th 1928 I was home till four oclock. Then called on Mrs Sorter and went up town. Read in evening. I took apart my blue silk and colored it red today. Thursday October 18th 1928 I was sewing all day making a slip out of the red silk. Letters from Lydia and Mrs Falk. The Byingtons here for a call. I wrote Miss Stockslayer and sent clippings of Aunty [Carle?] death in DeLand. Took letter to mail box. Hattie came when I was eating supper. We went to prayer meeting with The Andersons. Friday October 19th 1928 I did some washing. Mr Hughes came to fix my machine. I had letter from Winnie and wrote her and card to Lydia. Took them to the office. I finished my red slip. I went to Mrs Webbs party at 5 oclock. The Byingtons brought me home. Wrote Mrs Falk & Cousin Jen in the evening. Very tired. Saturday October 20th 1928 Did ironing and cleaning. Mrs Gay took me to Ladies Home with our donations. Got my lunch went to mail box. Hattie came and Ron took us over to West Town to reception. very pleasant affair. Back by Bus & car. The Byingtons at Hatties for supper. William & Mary brought me home. fine day. Letter from Mattie Fletcher.
