Tuesday December 21st 1926 I wrote Lydia. Had a letter from Mrs Will Levagood I enclosed. I knit some on the bead bag. Soon after dinner I walked up to Fred Givens to tell them we would not come up tonight Winnie has such a cold. Wrote Hattie. Read in evening. Not at all cold. Wednesday December 22nd 1926 I went down to Madison St to mail a package for Winner. I worked on the bead bag and did some packing. In the evening Will Levagood and wife came for a call and stayed till 11.30. Winnie feels quite miserable with a cold. She went to bed early. Thursday December 23rd 1926 We got up a bit earlier. I did not like to leave Winnie. The taxi came for me a nine oclock. I got a round trip ticket home. Pleasant journey, the train a little late. Hattie met me. We came to the store in a taxi. Then walked up to The Presbyterian church where there was a supper and programe. The Byingtons were over with the baby. Home by taxi at 9 oclock. Friday December 24th 1926 Hattie all forenoon arranging her presents to deliver which they did in the afternoon and went to meet Birdie. They missed her and she came by taxi. The evening here arranging our presents. Visiting and listening to radio. A lot of mail to look over. A cold day. It seems mighty good to be here.
