Saturday September 11th 1920 I helped with the ironing. Hattie and Florence cleaned the house up. It was warm as summer. I sewed a little and took a nap. Fannie not well. Hattie down there in the evening. Lorie and I in my sitting room. Cora and Edith on the porch. Florence does not work after tonight. Sunday September 12th 1920 It was a fine morning. Cora took us riding most of the forenoon. We went to the cemetery. 48 years tonight Will was married the first time and four years ago we started out west together. Wrote Aunt Sarah, Lizzie Lindley, and Sciota Lape in afternoon. Monday September 13th 1920 Paul Whetstone arrived this morning. I had a couple of men here till the middle of afternoon cleaning north cistern. Hattie to Old Ladies Home meeting in afternoon. Tuesday September 14th 1920 We had a busy day with taking care of fruit and getting the meals. Cora packed Lorie's trunk. She feels pretty bad. The folks met Mrs Falk at 3.35. We spent the evening visiting. Wednesday September 15th 1920 Some of the folks took Lorie to the 9 oclock urban car for Cedar Rapids. We then went out to George Stevens for some vegetables. Hattie worked with grapes in afternoon. Mrs Falk and I down to Otts a little while in evening. The rest to picture show and later all together in the little old sitting room. weather fine. 35 years since Bro Rob died.
