Saving...
Friday October 22nd 1920 We did a big washing today and Hattie and Cora some of the ironing. Rob Cora Fannie and The Sheldricks were away for a ride at noon. Ott & William are here. The girls were away for the evening. I was tired and sad. A letter from May at Goodland Kansas. Wrote Lydia in afternoon. Saturday October 23rd 1920 Cora ironing. Hattie away a couple of times getting things for Old Ladies Home. I sewed some in forenoon and worked out in the yard with Monte all afternoon. I sewed some in evening. Hattie got apples ready to day. Sunday October 24th 1920 I rode to town with Cora when she took Hattie to S S. I was in my part of the house most of the day. I wrote to Sue & Sallie Reed, Ella Nagle, Joe Woolf, and Lizzie Lindley and a note to LeGrand. Andrew Woolf has been hurt in an Auto. Hattie, Cora, and I spent the evening in the little sitting room. Monday October 24th 1920 We were up early. Miss Fellman came to sew today. Cora and me to town just about noon for some things. I sewed some for myself in my little bedroom. Hattie away in afternoon. Tuesday October 26th 1920 Miss Fellman nearly finished a new dress for me today. Cora sewed with her. I had to be near much of the time for fittings. I like my dress very much. It was 36 years today I was at Venes, a rainy Sunday, that I became Wills promised wife, a blessing I never fully appreciated until he was gone. The girls in town most of the evening.
