Tuesday, February 14, 1865. Left Memphis this morning in company with Mrs Robinson bound for Vicksburg. Soon after leaving M- the guerillas fired into our steamer & though some of the balls went clear through no one was hurt. P.M. spent reading "Tarton Resorters", Evening warm enough to stand on the guards & enjoy the scenery along the shore. Spent an hour before returning sing S.School hyms with the children on board.
