Saving...
Sunday, February 19, 1865. This morning the steamer stopped to take on cotton. It seemed strange to be traveling and seeing such work on the holy Sabbath To my joy Mrs Clarke came on board from the Silver Star. I had good company for the rest of the day. but enjoyed my Bible more than anything else. Not a religious person on the steamer I should think from the way they have spent the day.
