Saturday, March 18, 1865. Left Keokuk early but had to wait several hours at Ft. Madison. Saw Col Trall on the Steamer just as we were leaving. Arrived at B- after dark, and was most happy to see the dear friends at No 70, Main St. Talked till late over all that I had seen and heard since leaving them. Too bad to have to spend the Sabbath so near home & not be there
