Tuesday, March 21, 1865. Abandoned myself to the enjoyment of home. Mother is exceedingly kind and gentle, Charlie a darling brother, and Jennie more & more interesting. If Pa & Manda were only here. Several calls but dont enjoy seeing anybody half as much as the dear ones at home Wrote some letters & spent the evening reading to Mother "Goodness & mercy all my days &c"
