Wednesday, March 29, 1865. Today Ma and Charlie have been at work in the yard most of the time. At noon came a neat little note from Mr L- asking me to attend the sophomore Ex. I of course accepted gladly. Ex' not much but any company & a note from Tillie were full compensation, and I enjoyed it more than anything of the kind for a long time.
