Sunday, April 16, 1865. One of the dullest Sabbaths I ever spent All three too tired to attend Church Could hardly summon courage to read our Bibles so utterly worn out with our journey. This first day in the Capital of our country has been a sad one indeed. Everybody seems bowed down with grief at our great loss We can hardly yet believe that our Pres' is gone.
