SUNDAY, MAY 28, 1865. Spent the morning reading. Went to church feeling dull but succeeded in keeping awake. Afternoon went with Mrs W- Rev E.P.S. Misses F- W- & H- to the Iowa Brigade. Met many dear friends. Mr Smith preached the best sermon that I have heard since coming to Washington. Home late very tired. had a chill that left me feeling very badly. The most religious day I have spent here.
