Monday, June 12, 1865. Went early to Alexandria with stores. Visited the ladies at both hospitals & found them almost worn out. Came home by the Ferry & found myself tired out. Saw the soldiers wife off & felt relieved. Mr S- thrown from his buggy & hurt. Call from G. Buckingham, Lieut Hope, and J Wes Smith. With Miss Fowler carried a handsome bouquet to Mr S_. Mr W came home with us & had a long-talk with Mattie to no avail.
