Thursday, June 22, 1865. Went to W - w - s & wrote letters for her. Afternoon with Mrs McQ to Alex- God opened the way for me and where I expected only trouble all was pleasant. Called a moment at Slough and found all moving on well. Now know that I have been too hasty in judging Nellie. Mr S- gave me the July Atlantic in which are some excellent articles.
