Sunday, July 2, 1865. Early A.M. a long good letter from Father. Did not go to church but read my Bible and though of Fathers letter. At dinner Mr Bass asked us to go with him on board the flagship Dove to service. We went and found it profitable. Eve' Messrs L - H. M. Hall came to our room and sang all evening. A prayerful earnest day full of rich thoughts.
