Monday, July 17, 1865. Before leaving Alexandria wrote several letters. Found Mrs W- just starting to Finly when I reached W-. With her Miss F- Lizzie B- went to Finly to dinner. Mrs Cole & Howe there. After dinner Mrs W- prayed with us. W- told us a sad goodby & gave me a handsome bouquet. With Mrs W. W- & M- to the pewed saloon the he left us, & so go our friends. I tomorrow
