Wednesday, August 2, 1865. Not the most profitable day perhaps but exceedingly pleasant. Mr A- called early and we indeed had a very pleasant hour. P.M. Dr B- long looked for came Had a most pleasand & interesting conversation. Liked him fully as well as I had expected to, & wonder so much what he thought. All the eve sewing & talking with Mother. Punctual at prayer.
