Friday, August 4, 1865. A.M. all spent sewing. P.M. to Mrs Fuller for an hour or more. Saw and talked with Rev P.P.I. Just after tea Dr B- came. Gave me a beautiful copy of Palmers Book of praise. Eve we all went to the surprise party as Bro W-s. Time passed nicely, until coming home, when the rain made music for us. Dr B- stayed all night.
