Thursday, August 17, 1865. After a miserable sleep up early and at the Hall at work A.M. two miles in the country for milk P.M. gathering up the contributions. People came late but a good turn out and a most pleasant evening. Invitation from Mr F- to go to the O. Home tomorrow. Almost too tired to think of it. Not home till after mid-night almost prostrated from over exertion. Will clear nearly a hundred dollars.
