Wednesday, August 30, 1865. A.M. sewing at the inevitable carpet. P.M. went to town and attended to several items, buying wallpaper &c. Saw Mr S- in the book-store & had quite an amuseing chat. As we came home overtook Frank & Callaie coming to call. Pleasant evening with the dear home circle. How many blessings crowd my path. Days full of joy and blessing.
