Sunday, September 3, 1865. Not at all happy this A.M. as I usually am on Sabbath morn but very nearly writhed on acct' of our talk last night Went with Mr B- to the Episcopal Church Sermon good. PM reading to Mother in Mrs Kitty Tevelyan Diary. Evening Manda & I went with Mr B to Asbury to church. Sat on the portico in the moonlight & enjoyed it very much. Not tortured with the forbidden theme today.
