Saturday, September 16, 1865. Up very early but not well enough to do anything active. Sewing all the A.M. P.M read my chapters, & looked up to God. Invited with Manda to a tea-party at Nellie's but she had to go alone. Better late in the evening & went to Lizzie W-s and stayed all night. Lizzie sad and busy. Spent most of the evening reading in an old scrap book. Poor Amy! I feel deeply for her
