Saving...
Monday, October 9, 1865. Up before daylight Manda and I washed & had it on the line by nine o'clock Rest of the A.M. spent in cleaning & putting things to rights. By the time dinner was over about used up & went to bed. After an hours rest arose read my chapters & had a pleasant season of prayer. Read a while in Alton Locke, and made a [waiste] for Charlie. Good letter from Tishie. Retired very early.
