Wednesday, November 1, 1865. This A.M found me in the school-room playing teacher again but O! how terribly dull it proved. Mrs Williams is as kind as my own Mother. Wrote a long letter home. Milton better this evening. God will doubtless give me every needed grace, but I would prefer anything to teaching. Tonight decides the matter. Retired early to make up for lost sleep last night.
