Wednesday, November 15, 1865. Mr De Hass is the very soul of kindness and school becomes more & more pleasant. Dear good Lillie came & took my place while I went down to the steamer to see Mrs W- & the orphan children With M- called a moment at the association & very favorably impressed. Went to Mrs D-s with Manda after church and all had a most amusing hour. Then sent the girls off and talked till nearly midnight with Mrs. Darwin.
