Wednesday December 13, 1865. Intended to go to Mrs D-s tonight but too cold to stir out of the house. School still hard but mercies crowd my way and with grace to sustain me I have no fear. Am busy reading and writing these evenings but feel that I an accomplishing very little. How much better to be happy & enjoy life while we can! Bro & Sister Hare spent the evening here.
