Saving...
Saturday, December 30, 1865. All the A.M busy about the house then packing and off to the train. Capt' W_ said some things that surprised me. A most pleasant trip down on the cars with a merry party. Packed my trunk & sent it to my new, & old home. Then to Mrs Dees until after seven when, thanks to Mrs Darwin we rode home. I was exceedingly pleasant to have a room with Manda again. Thus closes the most pleasant week of the winter & I am much better satisfied.
