Friday March 7th 1924 I read some and wrote to Lizzie Lindley. We went to town in afternoon. I called at Pickens. Rode down town with them and to spend the time with Mrs McBride. A letter from Ott. The mortgage has been paid on The Dear Coralville Home. How we worked and saved to own it. Saturday March 8th 1924 I read most of the forenoon. Wrote to LeGrand & Lydia. Spent the afternoon with Mrs McBride. I had letter from Ott with draft for $50.00. I got my library deposit of $3.00 Sunday March 9th 1924 It passed rain but we went to S S and church. Had dinner and came home. I read the papers. Wrote to Hattie. We took mail to town late. I had letters from Tishie & W B McCall. Monday March 10th 1924 weather pleasant. I wrote to Joe Woolf in forenoon. We went down early. I called to see Mrs Bracey and later found The McBrides just ready to go away. Then to see Mrs Reimers. Mrs Church gave me some beads. Tuesday March 11th 1924 Was home in AM. We were ready to go to the station to meeting Millie Byington when some friends brought her in a car. We drove down town. Spent evening visiting. Wednesday March 12th 1924 After early dinner took Millie to Orange City. I wrote to Hattie and Ruby Falk. We did not stay late in town. Mr Falk had been working hard and we all were tired so did not go in to meeting after supper. weather nice.
