Sunday May 4th 1924 Hattie & I to S S and church with Ott. We were all there for dinner. I gave William a check for his birthday. They went to ride in afternoon. I came home to take a nap. Hattie and I both home in evening. I looked over old letters. Monday May 5th 1924 A fine day. Normia did big washing. I wrote to Ida, Sallie Reed and Warner McCall in PM. Hattie to Club meeting. Mollie to stay all night. We took ride after supper. Tuesday May 6th 1924 William 26 years old today. I sewed some and was down to Fannies in forenoon. Rode to town with Rob, walked back. They got report today. The old place with lot in front appraised for less than $15,000 and May who used to be with us came to Ott in distress as her husband had lost his mind and was in Co house. The Board gave her funds to go away. Hattie and me to "Mehido" in evening. Wednesday May 7th 1924 Will would have been 76 years old today. How well I remember his last birthday. I was down at Fannies in forenoon. Letter from Mrs Falk & Mattie Stitt. Thursday May 8th 1924 Knit on bag in AM. Went to town early in PM. Mr & Mrs McBride here for supper and evening. Hattie & Cora at home. Friday May 9th 1924 Hatties birthday. She received some gifts. I was at Fannies in AM. She went to a luncheon. There was a fine rain last night. I knit on my bag. Wrote to Laura Mason.
