Corn Chowder 1 qt raw corn 1 pt potatoes-diced- 1 large onion 1 tablespoon butter 1 or two tomatoes, sliced 1 pt milk Season to taste Scrape the corn from cob-boil cobs 35 minutes in water to cover Then skim out Fry onion in salt pork & strain into corn water - add vegetables Simmer until potatoes are tender-Then add butter & milk & season Add pinch of soda to tomatoes.
