Saving...
Frosting for Moms Cake One and half cups sugar Two little squares chocolate Small half cup milk a large tablespoonful butter Boil slowly and watch after six minutes: a teaspoonful vanilla Equal parts of ammonia and turpentine will remove paint marks from cloth, no matter how hard and dry they have become. Don't soak your postage stamps when they stick together; just lay a thin paper over them and rub a hot iron over the paper, and they will easily come apart. When laundering white silk or satin, place a teaspoonful of vinegar in the last rinsing water and the silk will remain white. The acid kills all alkali that might be in the soap. This likewise applies to baronet satin. Many persons always dip the soles of their walking shoes in melted wax every two or three weeks. In this way they last longer and are likewise waterproof.
