Sweet pickle Peaches, Mrs Mr M. Firis Fill your jar, & cover them with vinegar, Then to ev qt vinegar, put 1 lb sugar, 1 oz cloves, 1 oz cinnamon Boil together for 5 min, & pour scalding hot over the peaches. Repeat this several times. Pickled Cabbage. 8 large heads white cabbage, 4 green peppers, some horseradish cut up fine. 1/2 lb white, & the same of yellow mustard, a few alspice, & cloves, Dissolve a piece of alum the size of a small walnut in boi vinegar, & cover the cabbage in the jar. Tie down clos Yellow Pickle. Lay 1 lb race ginger in water one night, Then scrape & cut in thin slices, sprinkle on it some salt, & pu it in the sun to dry. Do 2 oz long pepper in, the same way. Cut 1 lb garlic in thin slices, salt it, & let it stand 3 days, Then wash it well, salt it again, & let it stand 3 days more. Wash it well, drain it, & let it dry in the sun. Take 1/4 lb mustard seed bruised, & 1 oz turmeric, put these ingredients into a jar with a gal strong vinegar, Stir very often for a fortnight
