To clean black kid shoes. Take 3 parts of white of egg, & 1 of belt black ink. & apply with a sponge, after mixing well. To take grease spots out of papered wall. With a piece of flannel dipped in spts wine, go carefully over the spots once, (or twice if very bad, when the wall will look as well as ever. To get rid of Roaches. Put about a qt of water sweetened with molasses in a tin basin. Set in the evening in a place frequented by roaches. Around the basin, put a piece of old cloth, so as to render it accessible to the bugs. They will go down into the water, & wait till you come. Another cure for felon. Scrape a large or small quantity of castile soap as you may want it, & simmer in new milk till it forms a paste as thick as cream, cool & apply. Whitewash. Take a clean barrel that will hold water, Put into it half a bushel quick lime, & slack it by pouring water sufficient to cover 4 or 5 in deep, & stir until
